“NEW” Opportunity to visit the old village of Altare, with its thousand-year history, the magnificient churches and the meeting place between Alps and Appennini mountain (by appointment, Saturday and Sunday). The visit to the village is organized by the Youth Group of the Municipality of Altare.

TOURS FOR  BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE 

Thanks to financial support from local authorities, the museum is accessible to visitors with visual impairments.
The tours may be either self-led or  guided.
In the first case, at the entrance and in the  main rooms visitors will find useful information that will guide them through the exhibition and let them understand the contents of the windows.
A synergy of elements especially made to meet the needs of visually impaired visitors   makes the visit easy:

• tactile maps for orientation in the structure
• lecterns with information  in Braille and print-to-read in the main rooms
• an elevator  allowing easy access to all floors of the building

You may end your tour  with a TOUCH LAB.
An easy-to-read Braille catalogue with some of the works on display is available on request.
